Inspired were appointed by our client to support their project team with concept, detailed coordination, and implementation design packages for the alteration and extension of their Beachcomber restaurant premises together with the construction of a new and extremely exciting day/night exterior play park experience, at their UK leisure holiday park in Somerset.

Our technical design team delivered drawing packages for restaurant alterations including cabinetry and equality compliance, also for an extension and a changing places facility to the client’s appointed Principal Contractors at Orientrose contracts Ltd, and their groundworks contractors at C J Lynch & Sons Ltd. They have also supported their clients Playpark designers by exchanging detailed technical setting out and coordination drawings between the relevant consultants, ensuring that all matters of existing utilities and proposed technical works are thoroughly integrated before commencement. The client’s own Project Management team negotiated a commencement of works in December 2023, and interior and exterior construction works have continued tirelessly throughout the winter period to achieve an opening deadline of Easter 2024.

Design support has been provided by Inspired throughout the development term, including attendance at fortnightly MS Teams coordination meetings and regular attendance at on-site meetings to assist with the technicalities of construction, support for the statutory consenting process using Local Authority Planners and an approved inspector, and also to support essential legal licensing and safety processes. Mechanical and Electrical constancy has been provided by ME Engineers, and Structural/Civil engineering designs provided by a team of engineers from Crouch Waterfall.
