Inspired were appointed recently to provide their client, Futures for Somerset Ltd, with a Fire Safety Audit for a school premises in Somerset. The purpose of the report would be to record condition and to identify matters relating of performance in compartmentation, egress protection, servicing, and overall statutory compliance, those matters which would represent a liability to the leadership team, and to provide advice regarding maintenance/repair priorities and associated high level costs to support CIF bids for R&M works.
Our resident Surveyor is Justin Dover, a Chartered Surveyor and Fire Engineer holding the accreditations MRICS and GIFireE. Justin has accrued 30 Years of construction industry experience and is a Director of Inspired, previously holding Directorship, Department Head, Principal Surveyor, and Officer Surveyor positions within private and public-sector organisations in the UK. He served as a Building Control Surveyor with the West Somerset Council between 1988 and 2002 where he also acted as an Emergency Response Officer, Licenced Premises inspector, Fire Safety Advisor and Access Officer for a Council. Justin has fulfilled commercial surveying appointments for a range of sectors including domestic low, high end & base build, educational, office & commercial, industrial, and leisure sector clients across the UK & within central Europe, acting for blue chip companies. He is a member of Pyramus and Thisbe, promoting excellence in Party Wall Surveying and is Asbestos Awareness trained.
