Inspired Partnership have been successful in gaining Full Planning Permission for a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), floodlighting, car parking and netball court works at Blundell’s Preparatory School in Tiverton.
Inspired lead the process, engaging early with planners and co-ordinated a team of professionals to steer the proposals through the planning process for this sensitive site, which is within a Conservation Area and located adjacent to the Tidcombe Lane Fen. Tidcombe Fen is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and the proposal was developed to ensure that this wetland habitat, now scarce nationally and rare in Devon, remained undisturbed by the proposals. A comprehensive application included ecological impact assessments, tree impact assessment, floodlighting illuminance levels, flood risk assessments and surface water drainage strategies to control flow and prevent contamination. With planning permission now successfully gained, Blundell’s School will be able to extend their sports curriculum to more students throughout the year and build upon their reputation as a centre of excellence.
