Inspired were appointed in March 2020 working at-home during the Covid19 pandemic period to assist our commercial client with a proposal to expand their stock of existing private rental housing within their pre-existing commercial/residential mixed development in Minehead, West Somerset. A proposal arising from the prolonged return to vacancy of ground floor commercial accommodation in this development would allow out client to invite is to pursue a conversion and extension proposal forming two new dwellings.

Our in-house design team utilised pre-existing survey and design information held in their records to set about the task of re-ordering ground floor and adding accommodation in this sensitive town centre location within a flood zone and conservation area, using the latest 3D architectural design and animation software to present a proposal incorporating two mews style properties firstly to our clients, and thereafter to the officers of the Local Planning Authority. The use of 3D design and animation software provides time and again to bring development proposals to life, overcoming matters of interpretation to produce design proposals which are easily to understand and to relate.
