Working alongside Somerset based principal contractors, C G Fry, and client liaison consultants, Futures for Somerset, our in-house Architectural & Management teams at Inspired are supporting a detailed overview of quality and progress of construction works at this dining hall extension for The Castle School, Taunton.
This week our Senior Architect’s, Julia Humphries, inspection of the site has reported that the works are achieving a very high standard of compliance and quality. Interior fixed furniture are now mostly installed, the main building envelope is complete, with the exception of some final rainwater connections, the interior finishes are mostly applied including some very intricate ceiling and wall cladding details, and, exterior access and secure enclosure works are well underway. The project is now visually beginning to draw to a close.
Inspired were instructed by our clients in 2019 to perform the joint roles of Architect, Quantity Surveyor, and CDM Co-ordinator enabling a tight control over design compliance, cost, and contract matters to be maintained.
