Work has commenced on the restoration of a late C18th Grade II listed walled garden that partially collapsed in a storm, early 2019. Inspired were appointed to work with the Conservation Officer and agree an appropriate philosophy of repair to improve structural stability and re-build the wall using appropriate materials and repair techniques. Underpinning of adjacent standing walls is in progress and a number of lime mortar samples are being prepared to determine the appropriate colour and texture to match the existing as close as possible. With approvals in place the next step is to commence the corbelled brickwork foundation.
