The existing dais at Temple Methodist Church was accessible by two steps with unequal risers and no handrail that was proving difficult access for those unsteady on their feet. We were commissioned by the church to design a set of movable steps with handrail that would complement their existing cherry furniture. This beautiful set of cherry steps with walnut nosing was delivered today by Nigel Salter & Sons Joinery. Natural Cherry wood is a smooth, straight grained hardwood with a beautiful reddish brown colour that will darken with age. A very tactile piece of furniture; these steps are elegant, functional and durable.
