Dean joined Inspired Partnership Ltd during 2021 as an Architectural Technician and is now an affiliate member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists, currently working towards attaining Chartered Architectural Technologist MCIAT status.
Dean spent 15 years in the print trade when he left school as a 4 colour scanner operator, but was unfortunately made redundant as the printing trade became a victim of modern technology being available to almost every person, such as desktop scanners and digital cameras. He decided to go back to studying and attended Truro College to study Psychology and then Combined Social Studies.
After studying for four years, Dean decided he wanted to learn some more practical skills and started working on site with a local builder in Cornwall. Work included all aspects of construction, such as groundworks, timber frame manufacture and erection, plaster boarding, final fit and finish, roofing and fitting windows and doors. After a few years working on site, there was a company need for digital drawings for the workshop and manufacture of timber frame panels. He taught himself AutoCAD and so was able to produce the drawings required for the production of timber frame buildings. From there he started to produce concept drawings for clients, as well as planning permission and building regulation drawings. The range of buildings varied from garden buildings, holiday lodges, garages, residential, school buildings and commercial buildings. The largest residential building was a 6-bedroom 3 story family home on the edge of Bodmin Moor, as well as various school buildings around Cornwall.
Moving to Devon in 2017, he worked briefly for a local architect before joining an established local Company as an Architectural Technologist, specialising in luxurious residential park homes and holiday lodges. Daily tasks involved producing all the drawings required for the manufacture of the timber frame buildings such as wall drawings, chassis, electrical, plumbing, bespoke furniture as well as concept drawings and designs. Dean was involved in designing the UKs largest modular office, incorporating four 22’ x 65’ mobile units, which was transported from Devon to Scotland and then joined together as a single unit.
Becki joined the practice in 2013 as an Office Administrator and has taken on a range of different roles and enjoys a variety of responsibilities.
