Julian holds a Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Building, and is a Registered Member of the Association of Project Safety. With over 30 years experience in the construction industry Julian commenced his career with Trafalgar house in 1980 and prior to establishing Evenrange management ltd in 2000 he had been the Commercial Director of a South West based contractor from 1995, during which time he saw the business grow from £6m to £19m annual turnover. Julian joined Inspired in 2012 to form the Partnership.
In his earlier career Julian worked as a Quantity Surveyor with Trafalgar house from 1980 to 1990, during this period he worked on a number of projects throughout the South East and South West including, Supermarkets, Office blocks, and other Commercial Developments. In 1990 Julian Established his own QS Freelance Consultancy practice, which took him to work abroad as a Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor, including the Euro Disney project near Paris as a part of the Construction team undertaking development in the Main Street, and also with Balfour Beatty GmBH on a number of projects in East Germany.
Julian’s project experience includes the £14m redevelopment of the Podium in Bath, numerous office development projects in London and the South West, Road chef, Moto, Travel Lodge and other Motorway and Hotel projects, in the leisure industry, with Bourne Leisure, Pizza Hut, and William Hill, and within Education Establishments including Queens College Taunton, Uffculme and Kingsmead Community Schools, Broadoak College, and Court Fields School. In 2012 Justin and Julian acquired joint ownership of RiN Associates, CDM and Health and safety Advisors, which Julian has overseen as a registered member of the Association of Project Safety (APS) and CDM-Coordinator since 2008. Julian is a CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card holder, which provides proof that individuals working on construction sites have the required training and qualifications for the type of work they carry out

Justin is the companies Managing Director, the founder and owner of Inspired Partnership Limited, trading as Inspired. The company was incorporated on 12 July 2011 and has surpassed 10 years of trading by continually exceeding it’s client’s expectations.
Justin holds the post nominals MRICS (Chartered Surveyor), GIFireE (Fire Engineer) and MPTS (Pyramus & Thisbe Society) with now 34 years practice within Public and Private sector organisations. His professional career commenced in Architectural Practice within Stone & Partners of Taunton, and expanded into advanced & specialist construction detailing, advanced problem solving, negotiation, and management – all valuable experience gathered through 14 years of Local Authority service, at Surveyor through to Leadership positions. Justin is a CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card holder, which provides proof that individuals working on construction sites have the required training and qualifications for the type of work they carry out, he is an Asbestos Awareness Certificate holder and he is DBS checked at enhanced level for his work within educational establishments.
Justin gathered incidental experience as a UNISON regional Chairman, within Local Authority roles as Access Officer, an Emergency Responder, and privately he was an RNLI Crewman at their Minehead inshore station for a period of 10 Years, where he operated B class Atlantic 21 and D class lifeboats on active service. Justin’s professional experience continues today in concept & implementation design for planning, statutory compliance, licensing in all sectors, management & maintenance operations, snagging for practical completion, specialist accreditation, warrantors, and Expert Witness appointments. His commercial surveying experience continues today in the preparation of Dilapidation and Schedules of Condition for office, industrial, education, Healthcare, and retail sectors, he prepares schedules of Specialist Compliance for Fire Safety and Equality in Entertainment, Leisure, Retail, and Education sectors, and prepares RICS Level 3 domestic & specialist surveys, as well as acting as a Party Wall Surveyor – for selected private clients.
Operating as a Designer, Justin has performed statutory and implementation design roles for multiple Private & Social sector Housing and Apartment clients – including; Magna (SW) HA, Signpost HA, Oakfern HA, Sentinel HA, Homes Caring for Autism, Purpose Social Homes throughout the south and west of the UK, he has worked within multiple Corporate Development client teams including Gleeson (SW), Bluestar Group, Gadd Homes, Hallam House Developments, Doverhay Developments, West Country Developments, Great Torrington Ltd, Queen Edith Ltd, Corscombe Ltd, along with multiple Private Development client teams – including; Brook Food Processing, 599 Developments, Storm land Securities Ltd, Stark Invest, Evenrange Limited, and within the Bliss Group for Bliss Properties and Bliss Securities. Within retail sectors, Justin has performed design & surveying appointments for the betting chain – William Hill Organisation across 75 of the companies retail sites, for Pizza Hutt restaurants operated by the Yum chain, for Mambo Café at two of their sites, for West Coast Imports, for Exmoor Trim, and recently for Cote Brasserie at their restaurant site in Guildford. Within healthcare sectors, Justin has performed multiple concept and surveyor roles for the NHS at their Musgrove Park Hospital site.
Operating as a Commercial Surveyor, Justin has performed roles for William Hill Organisation, Futures for Somerset, providing specialist surveying appointments across multiple education sites, for Argos at their Prologis estate in Bedford, for the Football Foundation at their head office in London WC1E, for Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr at their sites in Swansea, Bridgend, V415 Doncaster, Glenrothes, Gourock, Orleans FR, D3 Peterborough, Daventry, Dublin, and Rue Paletas in Luxemburg, for American Golf at their courses in Welwyn Garden City and Orpington, and over a 20 year period he has provided design, project management, and specialist surveying services for the Bourne Leisure Group – within their Butlin’s brand operating across 3 holiday Resorts, for British Red Cross, for Lillywhite Investments, for Longleat Enterprise Ltd, and the former Taunton Deane Council and the former West Somerset Council, as well as for Devon County Council.
Julia Humphries BA(Hons) DipArch PGDip MA(Cons)Dist RIBA
Chartered Architect
Julia is the company’s Director of Architecture and joined the team here at Inspired Partnership in 2016 as a Chartered Architect (ARB) and a Corporate Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
Julia commenced her career in London and gained a wealth of experience working on education and commercial projects before relocating to Somerset to focus on educational projects across the south west. Local Authority and Government funding experience was gained at Somerset County Council where Julia worked closely with Education Department colleagues and was promoted to Section Head of the Major Projects team delivering new schools, extensions and refurbishment projects and leading a team of architects, technicians and clerk of works.
Julia formalised a passion for historic buildings by completing a Masters qualification in Architectural Conservation at Plymouth University in 2013 with distinction. She reinforced this qualification by working with a leading south west architectural conservation practice on pure conservation, the sensitive repair of historic structures, the alteration/extension of listed buildings, and, the conversion and re-use of historic buildings before joining IPL in 2016. Julia is a member of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB).
Julia was promoted to Director of Architecture at Inspired Partnership due to her people management and architectural skills; leading a team of architects, architectural technologists and technicians. She is also mentor to our apprentices and an advocate for equality, diversity and inclusion in the office. Julia works with our clients in the education, support living, residential, commercial and leisure sectors and is DBS checked at enhanced level for her work within educational establishments.
James Goldring RIBA
Chartered Architect
James joined the team here at Inspired Partnership in early 2021 and is a Chartered Architect (ARB) and member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
Prior to joining Inspired, James commenced his career working for high-end residential practices throughout South London, amassing a wealth of experience running private residential projects throughout the South of England. His project experience includes the design and implementation of a number of one-off homes, as well as high-end refurbishments and additions to private residences throughout central and outer London, including properties in Chelsea, Hampton Court, Wandsworth and Richmond.
James joined Inspired Partnership from London in January 2021 to offer professional architectural services and is now leading on a number of their residential and hospitality projects. His experience in the profession assists clients in securing statutory permissions whilst implementing designs to exacting standards, and whilst working within limited budgets and timescales.
Notably, and acting as Project Architect, James recently assisted in the successful implementation of three new pieces of luxury overnight accommodation for the Longleat Estate and is currently undertaking the next phase of properties. The opportunity allowed James to impart his expertise in the high-end residential sector, creating one-off luxury accommodation for guests, now available to book via the Longleat website.
Daron Stockham
Architectural Technician
Daron is an experienced architectural technician with over thirty years of continuous service to the construction industry, working for private and public sector clients. Daron commenced his career in 1982 working as an architectural technician on conversions and refurbishments for a national brewery, hospital facilities, doctors surgeries, mental health care facilities and offices; gaining his ONC and HNC qualifications in building construction in 1989.
Daron joined Mark Richmond Architects in 1995 and worked with the practice for twenty years on education, housing, commercial and conservation projects. The early investment of sophisticated CAD software enabled him to develop his 3D and animation skills, which became a particular asset to the practice and the development of BIM. Daron’s 3D skills enable clients to visualise their projects at the early stages of design with 3D images, panoramas and walk-throughs. 3D modelling continues into the detailed design stage enabling integration with other consultants’ 3D models and accurate construction detailing, resulting in efficient delivery on site. Daron joined Inspired Partnership in 2014 and continues to deliver projects with the same commitment and dedication.
Daron’s wealth of experience within the construction industry means that he is able to lead projects from inception to completion with the responsibility not only for sound technical detailing, but also the project lead, project co-ordination and contract administration for the realisation of a project on site. Daron delivers all of his projects, whether domestic scale refurbishment or multi-million pound projects, with equal care and enthusiasm for his clients.
Graham Braid ACIAT
Architectural Technician
Graham joined the Inspired Partnership team in July 2023 and has over 15 years’ experience in the construction industry. Graham is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists and working towards qualifying as a Chartered Architectural Technologist (MCIAT).
Having qualified from Somerset College of Arts and Technology (now Bridgwater & Taunton College, Taunton Campus) in 2009 with a HNC in Construction and the Built Environment, Graham joined an award-winning architectural practice in Surrey. This opportunity allowed him to build upon everything he learnt as an apprentice and grow as an architectural technician. Gaining invaluable experience and specialising in both whole-house refurbishment and multi-storey extension projects, across the Home Counties and into London, for the private domestic and high-end residential sector. Graham was responsible for interpreting and converting the approved planning drawings into the full technical pack of information for various projects, ranging in value from £25k to £1.25m. This included providing both the Client and appointed Contractor with a BIMx 3D Model, linked with the technical sections and construction detailing. He was also responsible for drawing the detailed utilities and service plans, liaising with third-party designers, Engineers and Building Control throughout and preparing the tender documentation, specification, schedule of works and Pre-Construction Information.
Having since returned to Somerset and prior to joining Inspired, Graham was working for a Rural Chartered Surveyor, where he oversaw the completion of several self-build dwellings, from initial concept, through to completion and handover. Given the rural background and location, this gave Graham the opportunity to also work within the agricultural and commercial sectors, successfully applying and obtaining consents for Class-Q Barn Conversions, working with local contractors and key stakeholders on small-scale residential developments, and notably submitting a planning application on behalf of a local Parish Council for the construction of a new multi-use community centre.
As an experienced architectural technician, Graham brings to Inspired his dedicated passion for the profession, together with all his knowledge and skill for producing high quality and robust traditional 2D technical detailing and 3D CAD modelling, helping to translate projects from concept to reality.
William Prangley BA(Hons) ACIAT
Architectural Technician
Will joined the team at Inspired Partnership in 2021 and is an experienced 3D Designer and CAD Technician having worked across a variety of industries and disciplines. Will is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (ACIAT) and is working towards attaining Chartered Architectural Technologists MCIAT status.
Prior to joining Inspired, Will commenced his career doing voluntary work placements at various architectural practices in the south of England, whilst studying at Buckinghamshire New University. He grew his industry experience by working for a local chartered surveyors after graduation, acquiring valuable knowledge and skills as a draughtsman and assistant surveyor. In addition, he has first-hand construction experience having spent some time as an onsite carpenter and builder constructing timber frame buildings. Will holds a bachelor of arts degree in 3D multidisciplinary design and currently has over a decade of combined design experience within the architectural, product and furniture industries.
As an Architectural Technician, Will provides the practice with high quality 2D & 3D CAD modelling skills for draughting and visualisation purposes, enabling clients to visualise their projects at the early stages of the design process as well as detailing projects at various stages for planning and construction.
Oscar Ball
Apprentice Architectural Technician
Oscar joined the team in August 2023 as an Apprentice Architectural Technician and has attended his Level 4 HNC Design & Build Technician course on day release with Bridgwater and Taunton College since September 2023. Oscar is learning with and working alongside the construction professionals at Inspired Partnership and gaining the knowledge and skills required to become an effective member of the team. Oscar is already working within ArchiCAD for his projects and is developing his CAD and presentation skills to ensure that our clients receive a professional service. Oscar is shadowing key members of staff on a variety of projects to gain first-hand knowledge and experience of all the stages of a project from inception to completion on site. Oscar is now a student member of CIAT and is working through the progression pathway to Architectural Technologist.

Mark Gent AaPS
CDM Adviser
Mark recently retired from a sixteen-year career in the British Army, where he served as a Senior Sergeant in the Coldstream Guards. He was responsible for managing the day-to-day activities, welfare and health and safety for forty personnel, both at home and abroad, often in complex and demanding situations. He completed several tours of duty in Northern Ireland, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Mark is a very practical and motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and well-developed presentational skills. He is experienced in dealing with unexpected problems and is able to find efficient and effective resolutions through skilled assessment and analysis. Mark has gained a vast experience in many aspects of Health and Safety throughout his army career and it is this experience, coupled with his keen interest in construction, that has seen him forge a new career in the industry.
Mark joined Inspired Partnership in July 2015, taking on the role of CDM Adviser in the Health and Safety department of the company. He has embraced his new role within the company and has shown a high level of professionalism in all aspects of the role. Mark manages the CDM coordination for a Number of projects performed by the company. He advises clients on all aspects of the new CDM(2015) Construction, Design and Management Regulations and provides support on all construction based Health and Safety issues.
Mark is a CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card holder, which provides proof that individuals working on construction sites have the required training and qualifications for the type of work they carry out.
Mark has Construction Safety Associate membership (AaPS) of the Association for Project Safety (APS) and, being a holder of the National Construction Certificate.
Becki Dover
Office Manager
Becki joined the practice in 2013 as an Office Administrator and has taken on a range of different roles and enjoys a variety of responsibilities. In her time with the Practice she has provided smooth and efficient support to the Directors in the performance of their daily responsibilities, as well as managing the demands of a busy multi-disciplinary office.
Becki’s keen interest in Interior Design has led her to successfully complete a Diploma through the Interior Design Institute and our varied workload enables Becki to apply her skills to projects; becoming very much part of the technical team. When you telephone the office, it is likely that Becki will be the first voice that you hear. Her good interpersonal and communication skills at the front end of the office, ensures that our clients are always greeted with courtesy.
Outside of the office, Becki loves decorating, baking, music and her three dogs Lily, Ralph and Hugo, who keep her very active
