With continued growth and a robust pipeline of work, we are looking to add a dedicated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to our commercial team.
About the Role:
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the senior commercial team in delivering successful project outcomes. You’ll be involved in cost planning, procurement, and financial control on projects ranging from £500k to £20m. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in quantity surveying within a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets.
• Support in the procurement of subcontractors and materials.
• Help manage project finances and monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and issue tender documents, contracts, and variations.
• Assist with valuations, payments, and final accounts.
• Provide support in identifying and managing commercial risks.
• Liaise with site teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Maintain up-to-date records of project progress and costs.
Requirements:
• Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a similar role (placement year or post-graduate role acceptable).
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of construction methods and technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel); familiarity with industry software (e.g., COINS, Bluebeam, or Causeway) is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.
