Project brief
Inspired were appointed in 2019 to assist our client with a replacement of decorative fascia’s, rainwater gutters, and disposal goods around a guest catering structure at a UK Holiday providers resort, in Somerset. This significant structure accommodates 6 of our client’s primary restaurant venues and commercial kitchens within the heart of their complex, seating up to 3000 guests at one time during daily periods of use. The structure covers an area of 8,300 sqM (90,000 sqft) with more than 290 LinM of exposed roof edge perimeter.
Detail
Inspired’ design process included 3D modelling and animations to assist our client with engagement, and the design demonstrates pursuance of an ‘Exposing-the-Workings’ philosophy, ensuring a cost-effective design solution, reducing complexity to promote safe and efficient implementation, simplifying maintenance and affording logical access for future manipulations.
Working in partnership with our clients appointed Principal Contractor at Castle Construction & Developments Ltd, a carefully planned scheme of R&M works commenced early in 2020, just prior to the implementation of the Covid-19 Lockdown period and this week, handed over to our client’s facilities team. Our Surveyor has undertaken regular safety and quality assurance visits whilst also assessing progress for valuation, and snagging inspections of the works including periods of Deluge testing to determine that high levels of quality, compliance, and Water-tightness were maintained.
