Project brief

Inspired were appointed in March 2020 working at-home during the Covid19 pandemic period to assist our client with a strategic re-configuring and enhancement of their home in a quiet residential sector of Minehead in West Somerset. A proposal for carefully configured extension and interior alterations would increase the number of bedroom spaces available to the property, would see additional daytime living space afforded a broad link to encourage outside enjoyment, and some much-needed privacy allowing our clients children to play safely without neighbourly overlooking.

Our in-house design team carried out a full measured survey of the property whilst stringently observing all Laws and guidelines relating to the ongoing pandemic, before setting about the task of re-ordering and adding interior spaces using the latest 3D architectural design and animation software to present a proposal involving a good-sized expansion to the family home, renewing bathroom facilities, and adding Utility and sauna facilities all for the owners enjoyment.

Statutory Consents were obtained on our client’s behalf in May 2020, following careful negotiation with the planning case officers at Somerset West and Taunton Council, and the works have been tendered to local contractors with a commencement of works planned shortly.
